AREA CODE UPDATES
With the ongoing change of one billion phone numbers under the original 144 area codes to 784 area codes with a capacity of 7 billion numbers, this is the most important software service for updating all telemarketing lists.
Using Belcore software that lists the state, area code effect and chronological effect. To correct area codes in all states on a telemarketing list more than 80 separate programs must be run.
Belcore lists changes by chronological age of the change. Thus if 213 became 310 and then became 818 -- there is no program to run past files that will go from 213 to 818. To correct the list it is necessary to change the area codes as they were changed in the so-called area code history..
